Kira the 'dolphin spotter' gets up close and personal with a pod of dolphins in the waters off the coast of southern Mozambique

A black labrador dubbed the 'dolphin spotter' has been filmed frolicking with a pod of dolphins in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of southern Mozambique.
The adorable pup, Kira, chased after her sea friends in the underwater footage, captured by a group of ocean revelers.
The dolphins seemed to accept the furry intruder and obligingly swam around the dog, who was eager to join the finned creatures as they slid gracefully through the water.

In a YouTube video, set to a playful tune by Miike Snow, Kira is shown donning a life jacket as she sits beside tourists in a dive boat.

Once the dog spots a fin peeking up from the water, she jumps in to take part in the action. Fearlessly she advances toward the dolphins and they curiously swim circles around her.
Eager as she is, Kira's four legs fail to carry her at the same speed as the smooth grey-skinned swimmers and she is left behind as the pod moves on.

The canine's owner, Noleen Withers, runs the Somente Aqua Dolphin Centre in the tourist trap of Ponta do Ouro, near the South African border.
Kira has 'a fond love for the ocean,' according to the centre's website and often accompanies dolphin watchers on holiday in the area.
The maritime-loving pooch even as a dive boat named in her honor.

Despite her enthusiasm, Kira struggles to keep pace with the pro swimmers and she is left behind as they move on
