Sure I'm not adopted Mum? Albino kangaroo cuddles up to his mother making everything all white!

Motherly love: This Bennett tree-kangaroo keeps her unusual joey close by having drawn attention since his birth in the Garden of Nature Zoo in Hungary

Poking his head tentatively out of his mother's pouch this kangaroo has got everyone hopping mad. But while crowds come out to marvel at the albino joey his mother is always on hand to make sure everything is all white.
Sticking close to her side this baby albino Bennett tree-kangaroo has already caused a storm. Up until a few years ago growing concern about the population of Bennett kangaroos led to new legislation to protect the 'near threatened' species.
So the arrival of this albino was an unusual addition at the Garden of Nature zoo in the town of Szeged, Hungary.
Following his birth more and more visitors have been coming to see the unique tree-kangaroo, or Dendrolagus bennettianus as it is officially called.

And despite its colour it is thought the joey is fit and healthy and can now expect to grow in weight of up to almost two-and-a-half stone.
As a species they are very agile and are able to leap 30ft from branch to branch and have been known to drop as far as 59ft without injury.
More commonly found in both mountain and lowland tropical rain forests they are one of the more unusual animals at Hungary's newest zoo.
Having been opened back in 1989 it spans almost 45 hectares, making it the youngest, but biggest zoo in the country.

It also famously has its own Nature Conservation Rescue Centre, which treats almost one thousand injured or orphaned wild animals every year.
Legislation was passed to protect the species in their native Australia meaning they are no longer hunted by Aboriginals.

I'm over here... Polar bear says hello to Arctic cruise ship with a friendly wave

Hans missed the amazing moment the first two times and had to wait for the bear to take part in a third and final performance


Living in the limelight can be difficult but as these fantastic pictures show for one bear the tourist train never stops.

This arctic animal loves nothing more than an audience and will even climb out of his snowy bed to give the crowd a wave.

The antics of the friendly polar bear were caught on camera by Swedish photographer, Hans Strand.

During a cruise through Svalbard in the Arctic, the 54-year-old snapped the fame-hungry bear as he came out to pose for the excited crowd.

But it was third time lucky for Hans who missed the amazing moment the first two times and had to wait for the bear to take part in a third and final performance.
Hans, from Stockholm, said: 'I was on board the ship just taking in the view when I suddenly saw a head pop up from behind the ice about 15 yards away.

'Everyone on the ship got really excited and started rushing over to the one side to get a better view.

'He was yawning as though he'd just woken up but even so he seemed to be enjoying all the attention and walked over to us.

'He waved twice and everyone was pointing and cheering but I had to change the battery in my camera.

'I was willing him to wave a third time and then he finally lifted his hand and started again. Thankfully I managed to capture the shot.

'After that he kept standing up on his back legs and playing up to the camera.
'He was really enjoying himself and kept us entertained for a good few minutes.
'I couldn't believe it, I've never seen anything like it before.'
